A Garden City man, Marc Guitron, 24, was arrested following a weekend incident involving a firearm, assault, robbery, and kidnapping. Officers found him with a firearm after responding to a call. Guitron faces multiple charges, including Aggravated Battery and Aggravated Robbery. The investigation is ongoing.

A Kansas man, Craig William Potts, was sentenced to 30 days in jail and 18 months of supervised probation for vehicular homicide in a 2023 crash that killed 16-year-old Cassandra K. Linder. A 22-year-old Garden City man, Joseph Huerta, faces charges after a high-speed crash early Monday morning at the intersection of 8th and Fulton Streets. Huerta fled on foot but was caught later and treated at a hospital. He was arrested for driving under the influence after hitting a building.
