Frankfort to Receive Major Tech Upgrade as Blue Valley Technologies Announces 100% Fiber-Optic Network

FRANKFORT — Residents and business owners in Frankfort can look forward to a massive boost in their internet speeds and reliability, as Blue Valley Technologies (BVT) has officially announced plans to construct a 100% fiber-optic network throughout the community.

Construction on the new infrastructure is scheduled to begin this spring. According to the company, the rollout of the new service will start by Fall 2026, when homes and businesses will begin converting to the upgraded system.

The fiber-optic network is billed as a long-term investment for Frankfort, designed to deliver the fastest internet technology currently available. Blue Valley Technologies notes that the new network is built to easily handle high-bandwidth activities like streaming, gaming, video conferencing, and smart home automation, while also being robust enough to meet future digital demands.

A major selling point of the new fiber network is its stability. Unlike older technologies, fiber-optic internet does not slow down during inclement weather, nor does it experience lagging speeds when user traffic is high during peak hours.

Beyond the technological upgrades, Blue Valley Technologies is highlighting the project as part of its broader commitment to the Frankfort community. The company drew a sharp contrast between its local focus and the impersonal approach of major national carriers, emphasizing that their investments stay local to strengthen rural communities.

Over the past year alone, Blue Valley Technologies has provided financial support to numerous local initiatives and organizations, including:

  • The Downtown Lighting Project
  • Frankfort Giving Day
  • Frankfort Summerfest
  • Frankfort FFA
  • Frankfort Rec and Booster Club
  • After Prom

“Unlike big carriers that only know your zip code, BVT knows your name,” the company stated, reinforcing its mission to invest not just in infrastructure, but in the people of Frankfort.
