The Lakeside Knights won the team championship at the 2026 Tipton Golf Meet with a score of 285, finishing 31 strokes ahead of Rock Hills. Bentley Melby of Pike Valley claimed individual medalist honors with a 64, while Lakeside's Eli Schmitt and Coby Cline placed second and third, respectively.

The 2026 Grizzly Invitational Track and Field Meet at Rock Hills High School showcased intense competition from north-central Kansas. Smith Center won the boys' championship with 123 points, while Osborne edged out Smith Center in the girls' division, scoring 98 points to 96. The event served as a valuable pre-postseason preparation for athletes.

The Southeast of Saline High School Invitational Track & Field Meet on May 8 featured impressive performances, with Beloit girls and Southeast of Saline boys winning team titles. The Beloit girls scored 185 points, led by standout Dakota Gray and others, while Southeast of Saline boys scored 137 points, highlighted by Jacob Bircher and Malachi Hopkins.

Athletes from the region gathered at Beloit High School on May 1 for the annual Beloit Relays, a key track and field event in north-central Kansas' spring season. The meet showcases local talent and is a tradition within the community. Complete results are available for review.

The second race of Kansas NICA's mountain bike series, ‘Crankin’ the Creek’, took place on April 12th at Fancy Creek State Park in Randolph, KS. With 199 athletes from thirteen teams navigating challenging terrain, notable performances included Addisen Schreiber winning the JV2 girls category. Coach Craig Underwood praised the tough conditions faced by athletes.

On April 24, 2026, Phillipsburg High School hosted the Phillipsburg Invitational, showcasing top performances from local athletes. Beloit girls secured victory with 214 points, while Smith Center boys led with 134 points. Notable individual wins included Dakota Gray, Gavin Hickert, and other standout athletes from various schools.
