KDOT Approves Over $11 Million in Marshall County Highway and Bridge Projects

The Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT) has approved contracts exceeding $11 million for two infrastructure projects in Marshall County. This includes a bridge replacement on K-9 Highway for $5.6 million and a mill and overlay on U.S. 36 Highway for over $5.5 million. Construction start dates are pending.

Governor Kelly Announces 40 Local Bridge Projects Receive More than $40M

Governor Laura Kelly and Kansas Transportation Secretary Calvin Reed announced that 40 local and off-system bridge projects will receive $40.25 million from the federal Bipartisan Infrastructure Law. Together with local funds, the total project value is over $45.2 million. This will enhance infrastructure stability and safety in Kansas. The Kansas Department of Transportation doubled its annual funding for bridge improvement programs. KDOT received a total of 170 applications requesting $162.3 million for the local bridge programs.
