Northern Plains League Announces 2026 All-League Basketball Selections

Edward Horinek earns unanimous boys first-team honors; standout players recognized across the conference

The Northern Plains League has released its 2026 All-League basketball selections, honoring top performers from across the conference for their efforts during the season.

Girls All-League Teams

Leading the Girls Northern Plains League First Team All-League selections are Bethany Simmelink of Rock Hills, Gentrie Riner and Leavie Riner of Osborne, Jayden Meitler of Sylvan-Lucas Unified, and Lynelle Gengler of Beloit St. Johns/Tipton.

Named to the Second Team All-League were Alyssa Lopez of Lincoln, Ashlyn Shultze of Osborne, Halle Mizner of Rock Hills, Harlee Nelson of Sylvan-Lucas Unified, and Kylie Loring of Pike Valley.

The Third Team All-League selections include Ava Brummer and Christiana Niewald of Beloit St. Johns/Tipton, Brynlee Manning and Meili Ost of Rock Hills, and Dominic Davidson of Sylvan-Lucas Unified.

Receiving Honorable Mention recognition were Jaden Krone of Tescott, Kendra Gingler of Beloit St. Johns/Tipton, Khloe Reimer of Thunder Ridge, Lauren Brokes of Sylvan-Lucas Unified, Lillian Carter and Sophia Robinson of Natoma, Marley McCoy and Tatum Miller of Downs-Lakeside, and Tennyson Donley of Lincoln.

Boys All-League Teams

On the boys side, Edward Horinek of Beloit St. Johns/Tipton earned unanimous First Team All-League honors, highlighting the top selections in the conference.

Joining Horinek on the First Team are Carter Johnson of Sylvan-Lucas Unified, Evan Slavik of Thunder Ridge, Gaberiel Rodrick of Beloit St. Johns/Tipton, and Xavier Miller of Lincoln.

The Second Team All-League selections include Delcan Tweedy of Thunder Ridge, Eli Schmitt of Downs-Lakeside, Jeremiah Miller of Lincoln, Lane Brokes of Sylvan-Lucas Unified, and Noah Eakins of Rock Hills.

Named to the Third Team All-League were Dayton Reeves of Pike Valley, Donovan Hollaway of Osborne, Eli Whelchel of Rock Hills, Grant Goodaker of Beloit St. Johns/Tipton, and Vance Dohl of Sylvan-Lucas Unified.

Honorable Mention selections include Ashton Nuss and Jace Kessler of Stockton, Colton Prowse of Natoma, Conner Engelke of Thunder Ridge, Dominic Eilert of Beloit St. Johns/Tipton, Erza Benne of Pike Valley, Jace Krone of Tescott, and Tate Tiernan of Osborne.

All-League teams are selected by conference coaches and recognize the league’s top players from the 2026 season.
