Young performers from across the county took the stage Sunday night at the Waterville Opera House for Marshall County’s Got Talent, presented by the Marshall County Arts Cooperative.
The event featured a wide range of performances, including vocal solos, guitar playing and a tuba solo.
First place went to Lily Shelburne, who accompanied herself on guitar while performing “Space Oddity” by David Bowie. Second place went to Liam Crain for “Wayfaring Stranger.” Third place went to Norman Jurgensen for “The Devil Went Down to Georgia.”
The People’s Choice Award went to Nathan Cook for his performance of “Hands” by Barns Courtney.
Other participants included Robert Clemo, Guen Conti and Charlotte Crome.
“Marshall County has a lot of young talent, and it was fun to see these kids step up and share it,” said Brian Fragel, a board member for the arts cooperative and master of ceremonies for the event. “We appreciate every performer who took the stage and everyone who came out to support them.”
