North Central Regional Planning Commission Invites Public to “Celebrating Service & Partnerships”

Regional luncheon will recognize outstanding public service and community impact

BELOIT, KS, August 10, 2026 — The North Central Regional Planning Commission (NCRPC), based in Beloit, Kansas, invites the public to attend Celebrating Service & Partnerships, a regional event recognizing public service and celebrating projects making a difference across North Central Kansas.

The event will be held on Thursday, September 24, 2026, at The Farm & The Odd Fellows in Minneapolis, Kansas. Registration begins at 11:30 a.m., followed by lunch at 11:45 a.m. and a brief program concluding by 1:15 p.m. The cost is $15 per person, which includes lunch.

The program will feature the inaugural Spirit of the Region Awards, recognizing impactful community projects, and the 2026 NCRPC Lifetime Public Service Award, honoring outstanding long-term service to the communities and residents of North Central Kansas. Spirit of the Region Award recipients will also participate in a brief facilitated discussion about their projects.

“We are excited to introduce a new luncheon format in place of our traditional biennial membership banquet,” said Debra Carlson Ohlde, NCRPC Executive Director. “In addition to being an opportunity to connect with local leaders, partners, and community members from across the region, we are especially excited to introduce the new Spirit of the Region Awards this year to celebrate accomplishments and encourage the sharing of ideas that strengthen our communities.”
