Southeast of Saline and Beloit Boys and Girls Teams Dominate Track Meet

The Southeast of Saline Trojans and the Beloit Trojans emerged as the top performing teams at the Concordia Invitational track and field meet, showcasing their depth and talent across both the boys’ and girls’ varsity divisions. With all 18 events completed, Southeast of Saline’s boys’ team secured a decisive victory, while Beloit’s girls’ squad claimed the top spot in their division.

The Southeast of Saline boys’ team demonstrated remarkable consistency and strength, amassing a commanding 130 points. Their athletes excelled across a variety of disciplines, leaving their closest competitor, Smith Center, trailing with 85 points. Buhler rounded out the top three for the boys with a solid 78 points, followed closely by Beloit (72) and Chapman (71.5). Minneapolis (45), Concordia (42), Marysville (13), Clifton-Clyde (12), and Clay Center Community (6.5) also fielded competitive teams.

In the girls’ varsity competition, the Beloit Trojans proved to be a formidable force, accumulating an impressive 149.5 points. Their strong performances across the board propelled them to a significant lead over the second-place Southeast of Saline girls, who tallied 84 points. Marysville showcased their strength, securing third place with 77 points. Concordia’s girls’ team finished fourth with 69.5 points, followed by Clifton-Clyde (46), Smith Center (42), Buhler (34), Minneapolis (32), Chapman (18), and Clay Center Community (3).
