Twin Valley League Track & Field Meet Crowns Champions

WASHINGTON, KS – Washington County High School hosted the Twin Valley League Track & Field Meet on Thursday, May 15, 2025, where schools from across the league competed for top honors. Axtell dominated the Boys Varsity division, while Clifton-Clyde took home the Girls Varsity title.

In the Boys Varsity competition, Axtell secured first place with a commanding 157 points. Clifton-Clyde finished second with 95 points, followed by Washington County with 57 points. Frankfort (45), Valley Heights (44), Hanover (37), Randolph Blue Valley (30), Linn (29), Doniphan West (28), Centralia (25), and Onaga (4) rounded out the scoring.

Clifton-Clyde also took first place in the Boys Junior Varsity division with 111 points. Axtell finished second with 103 points, and Hanover placed third with 93 points. Other team scores included Randolph Blue Valley (52), Frankfort (50), Washington County (39), Valley Heights (25), Onaga (21), Centralia (6), and Doniphan West (5).

The Girls Varsity competition saw Clifton-Clyde claim victory with 100 points. Washington County finished second with 92 points, and Centralia took third with 71 points. Doniphan West (53), Hanover (47), Axtell (46), Randolph Blue Valley (46), Onaga (36), Frankfort (31), Valley Heights (28), and Linn (8) completed the team scores.

Clifton-Clyde continued their success in the Girls Junior Varsity division, earning 70 points for first place. Frankfort finished second with 67 points, and Centralia placed third with 58 points. Hanover (42), Valley Heights (29), Axtell (28), Randolph Blue Valley (27), Onaga (20), and Washington County (2) also scored.
