K-State Extension is accepting applications for TWO motivated individuals to work full-time serving Post Rock District as Extension Agents. Post Rock Extension District is hiring a Crop Production Agent AND a Family and Community Wellness Extension Agent. Primary office is negotiable between Lincoln, Mankato, Osborne, Smith Center, KS.
Extension agents are professional educators, community connectors, and innovators who serve as a link between Kansas State University and communities across Kansas. Post Rock District is comprised of Jewell, Lincoln, Mitchell, Osborne, and Smith counties. The district’s team consists of seven extension agents and ten support staff, who serve the district’s 18,737 residents through dynamic in-person and digital educational outreach.
This Crop Production Agent will lead District’s vibrant crop production program. They will engage producers through individual consultations and agronomy educational workshops, as well as field days, featuring and demonstrating research-based on-farm best practices and economic decision-making tools. The Family and Community Wellness Agent will work to address health, wellness, and community needs across North-Central Kansas. The Extension team has a strong history of community partnerships and an exciting future, with many opportunities to collaborate.
