A New Era for Belleville: White’s Foodliner Acquires Long-Standing Food Mart

BELLEVILLE, KS — A fixture of the Belleville community since the mid-20th century is changing hands for the first time in its history. White’s Foodliner, a family-owned grocery chain with deep roots in rural Kansas, has officially purchased Food Mart from the Munk family.

The acquisition marks the end of an era for the Munks, who have owned and operated the store since it first opened its doors in the 1950s.

Transition and New Offerings

The official transition of ownership is scheduled to be completed on January 27. While the store has been a community staple for decades, the new owners plan to introduce several modern amenities and expanded product lines.

According to company representatives, Belleville residents can expect:

  • Expanded Selection: High-quality meats, fresh produce, and a variety of bakery and deli favorites.
  • Convenience: New “grab-and-go” items designed for busy families and professionals.
  • Digital Integration: The launch of a mobile app for streamlined shopping.
  • Service Upgrades: Both curbside pickup and home delivery options will be made available to local patrons.

A Tradition of Rural Service

Based out of Phillipsburg, White’s Foodliner is no stranger to the unique needs of Kansas communities. The company is known for fostering a “neighborly” atmosphere, aiming to make every shopper feel a sense of familiarity and welcome.

With the addition of the Belleville location, White’s Foodliner continues to expand its footprint across the state. The company currently operates stores in:

  • Kingman
  • Lindsborg
  • Lyons
  • Medicine Lodge
  • Osage City
  • Phillipsburg
  • Scott City
  • St. John

By joining the White’s Foodliner family, the Belleville store gains the logistical support of a larger corporate network while maintaining the small-town service that has defined it for over 70 years.
