Kansas Jayhawks 2025-26 Women’s Basketball Conference Schedule Released

LAWRENCE, Kan. – The Big 12 Conference announced Monday the 18-game league schedule for the upcoming 2025-26 women’s basketball season, which begins on Saturday, Dec. 20.

Each of the 16 member institutions will host six opponents, play six foes on the road and have three home-and-home matchups. Opponents were selected based on a combination of geography historical results and a poll of the coaches to the best balance the schedule in terms of travel and competitiveness.

Complete television information will be released at a later date.

Kansas opens Big 12 play on the road, heading to Iowa State on Dec. 21 for the final game of the calendar year. The conference home opener is set for New Year’s Day as the Jayhawks host West Virginia. KU alternates road and home games for the next two weeks, with road Sunday games at UCF (Jan. 4) and Baylor (Jan. 11) mixed with home Wednesday night games against Utah (Jan. 7) and Oklahoma State (Jan. 14). Kansas makes its first conference road swing through Arizona the next weekend, playing at Arizona State (Jan. 17) and Arizona (Jan. 20).

The first installment of the Dillons Sunflower Showdown is set for Sunday, Jan. 25 inside Allen Fieldhouse as KU hosts Kansas State before closing out the month at TCU on Jan. 29. February opens with three consecutive home games as the Jayhawks welcome Colorado (Feb. 1), BYU (Feb. 4) and Cincinnati (Feb. 7) to town. The next week includes a road trip to Texas Tech (Feb. 10) and a home game versus Houston (Feb. 14) leading into the bye week.

Without a midweek game, Kansas visits Bramlage Coliseum in Manhattan on Feb. 21 for the second Dillons Sunflower Showdown matchup. The final week of the regular season has KU hosting Texas Tech for Senior Night at Allen Fieldhouse on Feb. 25 prior to a trip to Oklahoma State on Feb. 28.

Following the conclusion of the 18-game conference schedule, the league will host the Big 12 Women’s Basketball Tournament at the T-Mobile Center in Kansas City, Missouri, from March 4-8/9.

Kansas begins the 2025-26 season with an exhibition contest against Fort Hays State on Oct. 29 before hosting Kansas City on Nov. 5 in the first of seven non-conference home games.
