Marshall County Commission Meeting Minutes – 2/12/2024

The Board of Marshall County Commissioners met in regular session with Keith Bramhall, Chairman, Fritz Blaske, member, and Danielle Salcedo, Deputy County Clerk present. Chris Pannbacker with the Marysville Advocate was also present for the meeting. Jon Ungerer was absent from the meeting.

Commissioner Bramhall called the meeting to order at 8:30 a.m. The meeting was opened with the flag salute.

Keith Bramhall moved, seconded by Fritz Blaske to approve the minutes of the 2/5/24 meeting and the agenda for today’s meeting. Motion passed 2-0.

Jason Rayburn with High Plains met with the Board, Public Works Administrator Mike Craig and County Counselor Jason Brinegar to give them maps of the routes they will be taking to drill wells in the county. Jason and Mike advised that a Road Use Agreement will need to be executed and put in place. Jason will work with High Plains legal team to do so.

County Counselor Jason Brinegar met with the Board. He is continuing to work on the deputy coroner situation.

Keith Bramhall moved, seconded by Fritz Blaske to go into executive session per KSA 75-4319(b)(1) to discuss nonelected personnel, Employee Evaluation with County Counselor Jason Brinegar and the Board present to return to open session in the Board meeting room at 9:50 a.m. Motion passed 2-0.

No action was taken as a result of this executive session.

Health Nurse Cheryl Skalla met with the Board to give update with new health building. They decided they would host an open house on Wednesday, February 21st at 3 p.m.

Fritz Blaske moved, seconded by Keith Bramhall to approve vouchers as presented and issue manual warrants. Motion passed 2-0.

Fritz Blaske moved, seconded by Keith Bramhall to adjourn the meeting at 10:32 a.m. Motion passed 2-0. The next regularly scheduled meeting will be held Tuesday, February 20th, 2024 beginning at 8:30 a.m. The Courthouse will be closed on Monday, February 19, 2024 in observance of President’s Day.
