Frankfort Freedom Fest in Frankfort

June 27

Freedom Fest is June 27th

The Frankfort community will be hosting their annual Summerfest celebration on Saturday, June 27, 2026. In celebration of our nation’s 250th birthday, the 2026 Summerfest will have a patriotic theme of “Frankfort Freedom Fest” and shirts that follow the theme can be purchased at Jane+Elaine Boutique in Frankfort.

The Frankfort Farmers Market will take place in the morning and other events will run until late evening. The parade will start at 11 a.m. with line-up and registration at the care home, beginning at 10:30. Entries are encouraged to follow this year’s patriotic theme. Following the parade, Frankfort Community Care Home will serve lunch in the shelter house and the Sons of the American Legion will be serving the evening meal. The Frankfort Knights of Columbus will be sponsoring a beer garden throughout the day.

Afternoon events will include frog and turtle races, so start searching for those frogs and turtles now! There will also be inflatables in the park for the kids, free swimming in the local pool and the United Methodist Church will sponsor Bingo. The pedal tractor pull registration will start at 5 p.m., with the pull beginning at 5:30 p.m.

Mechanical bull riding will take place in the evening and the Lazy Wayne Band will take the bandstand at 8:30 p.m., pausing at dusk for the fireworks show.

Vendors are welcome to set up in the park anytime throughout the day and there is no booth fee, although a donation to the Summerfest Fund is appreciated.
