Manhattan to Host Massive Free Dental Clinic This Weekend

MANHATTAN, KS — Access to essential dental care is coming to the Little Apple this week as the Kansas Dental Charitable Foundation prepares to launch the 2026 Kansas Mission of Mercy (KMOM). The large-scale, two-day event will transform the National Guard Armory into a full-service dental hub this Friday and Saturday.

Located at 721 Levee Drive, the clinic aims to treat hundreds of patients daily on a first-come, first-served basis. In an effort to remove barriers to healthcare, organizers have confirmed there are no eligibility, income, or residency requirements to receive treatment.

Services Provided

The clinic is designed to address immediate dental needs and pain management. The following services will be available at no cost:

  • Cleanings
  • Fillings
  • Extractions

Note: Dentures will not be provided during this event.

Patient Preparedness

Due to the high demand for free dental services, organizers from the Konza United Way anticipate long wait times. Patients are encouraged to arrive early and come prepared for a full day at the Armory.

Key Requirements for Attendees:

  • Health Information: Bring a comprehensive list of current medications, allergies, and existing health conditions.
  • Medication: Continue taking all prescription medications as directed by your doctor and bring them with you to the clinic.
  • Children: While adult care is first-come, first-served, appointments for children can be scheduled in advance at the official KMOM scheduling portal.
  • Comfort: While free breakfast and lunch will be provided, patients are encouraged to bring their own snacks and water to stay hydrated during the wait.

The Kansas Mission of Mercy has long served as a vital safety net for Kansans, focusing on improving both oral health and overall community well-being. For those without dental insurance or the means to pay for private care, this weekend represents a rare opportunity for professional intervention.
