GREAT BEND, KS — Law enforcement officials have taken two individuals into custody following an alleged violent robbery that took place late Friday evening.
The Incident
According to a media release from the Great Bend Police Department, officers were dispatched to the 900 block of Jefferson just before 9:00 p.m. on January 23. Upon arrival, the victim informed officers that he had been targeted and physically assaulted.
The victim identified the suspects as Juan Prieto, 31, and Trinity Galliart, 30. He reported that the pair used physical force to steal an undisclosed amount of money before fleeing the scene in a white pickup truck.
Arrests and Charges
The investigation moved quickly as officers spotted the suspect vehicle a short time later. Both Prieto and Galliart were located at a residence in the 2400 block of Cheyenne Drive.
Both suspects were taken into custody without further incident and transported to the Barton County Jail.
Prieto and Galliart are currently being held on requested charges of Robbery. The case remains under investigation by local authorities.
