Wichita Woman Arrested After Allegedly Attacking Concordia McDonald’s Employees with Hot Grease

CONCORDIA, KS – A Wichita woman is in custody following a violent incident at a local McDonald’s on Sunday afternoon.

At approximately 3:00 PM on January 4, 2026, officers from the Concordia Police Department were dispatched to the McDonald’s located at 1420 Lincoln St. in response to a report of a battery in progress.

Details of the Incident

Upon arrival and subsequent investigation, authorities determined that a female customer, identified as Christina Messerschmidt of Wichita, had engaged in a physical altercation with restaurant staff. Police report that Messerschmidt allegedly threw hot fry grease on employees and punched them during the encounter.

Charges and Arrest

Messerschmidt was taken into custody at the scene and transported to Cloud County Corrections. She has been booked on the following charges:

  • Aggravated Battery
  • Two (2) counts of Battery
  • Criminal Damage to Property
  • Criminal Trespass

No information has been released regarding the condition of the employees involved or the extent of any injuries sustained from the hot grease.
