Friday Deadline Set for Highway 36 Treasure Hunt Garage Sale Map

By Wayne Kruse

Garage sale shoppers will cover hundreds of miles across Kansas during the annual Highway 36 Treasure Hunt September 17, 18 and 19, and area residents can make sure those shoppers know exactly where to stop.

OneMarysville is putting together the local garage sale map for the event. Friday, September 4, is the deadline to be included.

For $10, each sale will receive a spot on the map along with up to 20 words describing what shoppers will find.

The Highway 36 Treasure Hunt stretches more than 400 miles across northern Kansas and brings antique hunters, bargain shoppers and garage sale fans through communities all along the route.

Area residents who want their sale included can sign up at the OneMarysville office, 617 Broadway, weekdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., or email wayne@onemarysville.com.

Paper copies of the map will be available throughout Marysville, and the map will also be available online at ushwy36.com.
