A 53-year-old Salina woman, Patania Sumners, was arrested on Tuesday after a dispute turned violent. The incident occurred at the apartments located in the former Roosevelt-Lincoln Junior High School on South Eighth Street.
According to police reports, Sumners became enraged over changes made to the bathroom by a 39-year-old resident. The argument escalated, leading to a physical altercation. Sumners allegedly grabbed the victim’s hair, dragged her into the bathroom, and punched her multiple times in the face.
The victim sustained minor injuries and was treated at the scene by EMS. Sumners was arrested and booked into the Saline County Jail on charges of aggravated kidnapping and battery.
