FAIRBURY, Neb. — A Fairbury resident is safe after a fire broke out in their home late Wednesday night.
Emergency crews responded to the scene near 7th and J Street, located just south of the 23 Apartments. According to reports, the resident inside the home called 911 to report the blaze and was able to evacuate safely before the fire intensified. No injuries were reported.
Quick Response from Fire Crews
Firefighters arrived quickly to the scene and successfully knocked down the flames. Crews remained on location for an extended period following the initial suppression to monitor for hot spots and ensure the fire was fully contained.
Investigation Underway
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation. Authorities have begun the process of determining how the fire started, but officials have not yet released specific details regarding the cause or the estimated cost of damages.
