Fatal Crash in El Dorado Under Investigation

EL DORADO, KS – July 14, 2025 – Law enforcement officials in El Dorado are investigating a fatal single-vehicle crash that occurred just after 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 12, at the intersection of Taylor Street and Locust Avenue.

According to El Dorado police, a vehicle driven by a 53-year-old woman collided with a power pole. A 61-year-old male passenger in the vehicle was pronounced deceased at the scene.

First responders extricated the female driver from the wreckage. She, along with a 40-year-old male passenger, were transported by EMS to an area hospital for treatment. The names of the victims have not yet been released by authorities.

The cause of the tragic accident remains under investigation.
