Washington County claimed the 2025 Twin Valley League Golf Championship title on Monday at the Cedar Hills Golf Course, turning in a dominant team performance to secure the top spot with a score of 337. The 18-hole varsity tournament featured eight league schools competing on a par-72 course with a yardage of 6,010 yards.
Led by senior Monte Huckett’s medalist round of 78, Washington County placed three golfers in the top ten. Teammates Tucker Huband (83, T-3rd), Grayson Votipka (85, T-5th), and Noah Hoover (91, 9th) also posted solid rounds to push the Tigers past the competition.
Onaga finished second in the team standings with a score of 367, bolstered by strong showings from Graham Valburg (83, T-3rd) and Joshua Daniels (85, T-5th). Centralia took third with a 389, just ahead of Hanover (396) and Valley Heights (398), making for a close mid-pack race.
Valley Heights’ Jayden DeWalt turned in one of the best rounds of the day, finishing second individually with a 79, just one shot off Huckett’s winning mark. Centralia freshman Bronx Talley also made a splash, shooting 88 to take seventh place.

Cedar Hills challenged golfers with a relatively average difficulty, boasting a course rating of 69 and a slope of 119. Players faced their toughest tests on holes 1, 8, 10, and 17, all of which averaged scores of 6.9 or higher.
The Twin Valley League teams will now look ahead to regional tournaments as they continue their march toward the state championships later this month.
