Salina Police Investigate Double Homicide, Suspect in Custody

SALINA, Kan. – Salina police are investigating a double homicide that occurred Sunday evening in the 700 block of Vassar Drive. Officers were dispatched to the residence just after 5:30 p.m. following a report of a domestic disturbance.

Upon arrival, first responders discovered two deceased women in the driveway of the home. Their deaths are being investigated as homicides.

Shortly after, police apprehended a suspect, identified as 35-year-old Preston James Reyna, a few blocks from the scene. He was taken into custody without incident.

Reyna, of Salina, is currently being held on requested charges including two counts of 1st Degree Murder, two counts of Aggravated Domestic Violence Battery, Aggravated Kidnapping, two counts of Domestic Violence Battery, and Domestic Violence Damage to Property. The investigation is ongoing.
