Sabetha Man Injured in SUV vs. Semi Collision

A 70-year-old Sabetha man was hospitalized with suspected minor injuries after a collision between his SUV and a semi-trailer truck Wednesday morning in Marshall County.

The crash occurred around 11 a.m. on K-99, about four miles north of Frankfort, near Pheasant Road. The Kansas Highway Patrol reported that Rodney Lee Strahm, driving a 2023 Ford Edge northbound, crossed the center line and hit the rear tires of a southbound 2025 Peterbilt semi-trailer driven by 45-year-old George Earl Schuur of Lytton, Iowa.

Strahm was transported to Community Memorial Healthcare. Schuur was uninjured. Both drivers were wearing seat belts and were the sole occupants of their vehicles.
