Hays, KS – A 37-year-old WaKeeney man, identified as Julio Caesar Villarreal, was tragically killed Sunday after being struck by a semi-truck on Interstate 70 west of Hays.

KBI arrested Kansas Highway Patrol trooper Dillon Keller, 34, for domestic violence-related charges including kidnapping, forgery, and criminal threats. Following a multiple-month investigation initiated by Dodge City Police, Keller was booked into Ford County Jail. He is presumed innocent until proven guilty. Case prosecution will proceed by Kiowa County Attorney’s Office.

MITCHELL COUNTY, Kan. – An 84-year-old Tipton woman is dead following a collision between a semi-trailer and a car in a no-passing zone on Tuesday morning.

NORTON COUNTY, Kan. — An injury accident late Friday night, October 17, 2025, on U.S. Highway 36, approximately 3.5 miles west of U.S. 283 near Norton, resulted in three people being transported to the hospital with suspected minor injuries.
