Missouri Man Killed in Rollover Crash in Jewell County

A Missouri man died Friday evening following a rollover crash in rural Jewell County, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol.

Authorities said the crash occurred at approximately 5:20 p.m. on Randall Road, about five miles south of Randall. A 66-year-old man, identified as Dennis Simonton of Richmond, was driving southbound when he lost control of his vehicle.

The vehicle left the roadway to the east, rolled multiple times, and came to rest on its roof.

Simonton was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators reported that he was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.

The incident remains under investigation.
