The Kansas Highway Patrol is currently requesting the public’s assistance in identifying individuals who may have witnessed a series of crashes that took place shortly after 3 p.m. on June 17. These incidents happened on U.S. Highway 56 close to milepost 102, situated in Gray County. The occurrence of blowing dust on that particular day led to low visibility, contributing to the collisions.

The collisions that transpired during this time frame were not isolated, with one resulting in fatalities, while subsequent crashes led to vehicle damage and minor injuries. If anyone possesses information related to witnesses or other vehicle(s) involved in these accidents, they are urged to reach out to Technical Trooper Ashley Hirsh from Troop E at 620-276-3201.
