GLEN ELDER, KS – The City of Glen Elder is hosting a town-wide strategic meeting on Monday, March 24th, at 6:30 PM in the Glen Elder Library Community Room (120 S. Market Street, South Door) to brainstorm ideas for a potential $10,000 community impact grant.
The Solomon Valley Community Foundation has offered the city the chance to receive the “Dream Big 2.0” grant, designated for a new, impactful community project. City officials are urging residents to attend and contribute their innovative ideas.
The meeting will be led by a panel of experts, including Betty Johnson from the Dane G. Hansen Foundation, Julia Rabe, Executive Director of the Solomon Valley Community Foundation, and Emily Benedick, Solomon Valley Economic Development Director. Their expertise will help guide the discussion and ensure the selected project aligns with the grant’s objectives.
The meeting will provide a platform for residents to voice their ideas and contribute to the future of Glen Elder.
To show appreciation for community participation, door prizes will be awarded, and refreshments will be served. This event offers a unique chance for residents to directly influence the development of their town and potentially bring a significant project to fruition.
