1st Infantry Division to deploy Soldiers to southern border

The 1st Infantry Division from Fort Riley, Kansas will deploy approximately 200 Soldiers to the southern border to protect and defend the territorial integrity of the United States as directed by the President.

Under the direction of U.S. Northern Command and Joint Task Force North, the 41st Combat Engineer Company-Armored and the 977th Military Police Company will augment the 2,500 forces already at the border supporting Customs and Border Protection’s southern border mission.
