Gober Named New Football Coach at Beloit

KD Country 94 & Z.96.3 the Lake Sports along with nckssports.com has learned that Brad Gober is the new head football coach at Beloit High School as he replaces Greg Koenig, who announced on February 1st that he was resigning after 11 seasons and would be taking the head coaching job at Cimarron.

Here is Coach Gober’s first interview since being named Beloit Head Football Coach

Coach Gober is 29 and originally from Phoenix, AZ but moved to Kansas in 2006 before his senior year of high school. He is a graduate of Wamego High School and attended Kansas State University.

Gober has been an assistant coach the past 5 years at Augusta High School and the defensive coordinator at Augusta the past 3 seasons. His defense has been known as one of the better units in 4A Division I.

Beloit Jr/Sr High School is pleased to announce the hiring of Bradley Gober as the head high school football coach for the Beloit High Trojans. Brad comes to us from Augusta High School where he has coached for 5 years, including being the defensive coordinator the past three seasons. In his first season as DC, Augusta went from giving up an average of 44 points per game to 22 points per game. In his second season Augusta was the 2nd ranked scoring defense in the state. Last year they were the top ranked defense in the AVCTL. He coached DBs and WRs in his first two years, and was on staff for two seasons at Rock Creek prior to his time at Augusta.
