Rock The Plains 2026 Postponed to Spring 2027: Organizers Promise Tickets Will Carry Over

The organizers of Rock The Plains have officially announced that the 2026 festival has been postponed, with plans to reschedule the event for spring 2027.

In a statement released to festival-goers, the local organizing team clarified that the event is not canceled, but delayed due to unresolved internal circumstances. Organizers emphasized that no participating artists, vendors, or local service providers were at fault for the delay.

“Postponing was the option that let us protect this festival’s future rather than rush forward with something less than what you deserve,” the organizers stated, describing the choice as a difficult one made to preserve the independent festival’s long-term sustainability.

Changes to 2027 Lineup and Ticket Details

While exact dates and a finalized location for the 2027 event have yet to be locked in, festival management provided key details regarding tickets and artist availability:

  • Ticket Rollover: All standard and VIP tickets for the 2026 festival will automatically carry forward to the spring 2027 event at full value without requiring any action from ticket holders.
  • Lineup Adjustments: Organizers cautioned that the 2027 roster will not match the original 2026 lineup, as scheduling conflicts may prevent some previously announced artists from returning.
  • Refund Options: Full refunds are available for attendees who prefer not to roll their tickets over. Ticket holders can request refunds by contacting the festival team or ticket provider directly.
  • Add-Ons: All Meet & Greet add-on purchases will be automatically refunded.

Addressing the delay in making the official public announcement, organizers explained that they first had to coordinate with artists’ representatives, county personnel, first responders, and local vendors to ensure accurate details were established before informing the public.

Community-Focused Roots

Founded by a local group of organizers aiming to bring a non-corporate, home-grown live music experience to the Flint Hills region, Rock The Plains assured fans that key personnel and vendor partners have already committed to returning in 2027.

“We built this festival from nothing, with this community, for this community,” the organizers shared. “We’re not walking away from that, and we won’t let one hard year for live music be the end of the story.”

Updates regarding confirmed 2027 dates, venue selection, and the updated artist lineup are expected to be released as planning continues. Attendees with further questions are encouraged to reach out through the festival’s official social media channels.
