New Beloit City Manager Announced 

Mayor Tom Naasz and the Beloit City Council are pleased to announce that Amanda Lomax has been selected as Beloit’s next City Manager. At its regular meeting on February 18, the City Council unanimously voted to extend an offer of employment to Ms. Lomax, to which she accepted.

Lomax is a long-time employee of the City of Beloit. Lomax started her career with the City in 2008 and has served as Director of Finance and City Clerk since December 2010. Throughout her tenure, she has demonstrated exceptional skill in developing and managing the City’s budget, helping maintain a strong financial position while keeping fiscal responsibility at the forefront of City operations.

In addition to overseeing the City’s finances, Lomax has provided leadership in working with financial institutions, federal and state agencies, engineers, contractors, and city staff on numerous capital improvement projects over the past several years.

“Mandy has demonstrated that she is a capable leader. She works well with all City departments and communicates effectively with the governing body.” said Mayor Naasz. “The City of Beloit remains committed to providing high-quality services while planning strategically for the future. We are excited to have Mandy as our new leader.”

Lomax will assume her new responsibilities immediately. The City Council expressed confidence in her ability to continue guiding Beloit with strong leadership, financial stewardship, and a commitment to public service.
