The Kansas Agriculture and Rural Leadership (KARL) program is accepting applications for Class XVIII until April 1. Commencing in August 2026, the program offers leadership development for individuals in agriculture and rural sectors. Finalists will be announced on June 6 at the KARL Big Event, celebrating over 450 alumni leaders.

Washington and Marshal County Communities are invited to celebrate friendship at The Farmer’s Daughter’s Galentine’s Valentine event. Attendees can enjoy local shopping, festive drinks, snacks, and participate in a raffle for a romantic dinner. A community scavenger hunt, "Hide-a-Heart," will engage residents while supporting local businesses.

Sunset Zoo has appointed Dr. Kaleigh Reyes as its new Director, transferring from Bangor, Maine. With a Ph.D. in Biological Anthropology specializing in primatology, Dr. Reyes has extensive experience in animal behavior. She aims to enhance animal welfare and community engagement while collaborating with local organizations and Kansas State University.
