Snowplow Driver Targeted in Kansas City Suburb Road Rage Shooting; Suspect in Custody

PARKVILLE, MO — Law enforcement officials are investigating a violent road rage encounter involving a city snowplow that occurred early Monday morning in a quiet suburban neighborhood.

The incident took place at approximately 9:00 a.m. in the Thousand Oaks subdivision. According to a statement released by the City of Parkville, the altercation involved a Parkville Special Road District snowplow and a black SUV.

Details of the Incident

During the confrontation, shots were fired, sending shockwaves through the residential community. Fortunately, officials confirmed that no injuries were reported following the gunfire.

The driver of the SUV immediately fled the scene, sparking a multi-jurisdictional effort to locate the vehicle. The suspect was eventually tracked down and apprehended in neighboring Kansas City, Missouri.

Investigation and Arrest

Sgt. Sean Allwood, a detective with the Parkville Police Department, conducted an interview with the individual after they were located. According to police:

  • The suspect admitted to firing the weapon during the encounter.
  • The motive behind the road rage remains under investigation.
  • The SUV driver’s identity has not yet been publicly released.

While the suspect is in custody, the Parkville Police Department has not yet specified the exact charges being requested against the individual.
