Baylor Snaps K-State Women’s Home Win Streak, Downs Wildcats 79-62

MANHATTAN, Kan. – The No. 14/15 Kansas State Wildcats saw their impressive 17-game home winning streak come to an end Monday night, as the No. 17/22 Baylor Bears emerged victorious with a 79-62 win at Bramlage Coliseum.

The loss drops K-State to 25-5 overall and 13-4 in Big 12 play. Senior guard and All-America candidate Serena Sundell led the Wildcats with 20 points, shooting 10-of-19 from the field, along with four rebounds, three assists, and three steals. Senior forward Kennedy Taylor also delivered a strong performance, contributing 16 points and seven rebounds.

However, Baylor’s balanced attack, featuring four players in double figures, proved too much for the Wildcats. Aaronette Vonleh dominated the paint for the Bears, scoring 24 points and grabbing 12 rebounds.

Baylor established an early lead, taking a 36-26 advantage into halftime, fueled by strong three-point shooting. K-State attempted a comeback in the third quarter, cutting the deficit to four points, but Baylor responded with a decisive run to regain control.

The Wildcats struggled with their outside shooting, converting only 2-of-15 attempts from beyond the arc. Baylor, on the other hand, shot 39.3% from three-point range.
