Winter Weather Advisory Issued for Northeast Kansas & Southeast Nebraska

MARYSVILLE, Kan. – The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for several counties in Kansas and Nebraska, predicting snow accumulations that could impact travel.

In Kansas, the advisory is in effect from midnight tonight to noon Monday for Brown, Marshall, and Nemaha counties, including the cities of Marysville, Frankfort, Horton, Seneca, Blue Rapids, Hiawatha, and Sabetha. Snowfall totals are expected to range from 1 to 3 inches, potentially creating slippery road conditions and impacting the Monday morning commute.

In southeast Nebraska, a similar advisory is in effect from 3 AM to 6 PM Monday for Gage, Pawnee, and Richardson counties, including Beatrice, Pawnee City, Falls City, and Table Rock. Snow accumulations of 1 to 3 inches are also forecast, with hazardous road conditions possible during both the Monday morning and evening commutes.

The National Weather Service advises motorists in the affected areas to slow down, use caution while traveling, and be prepared for potentially slippery road conditions. For the latest road conditions, drivers are encouraged to dial 511.
