Royals Face Elimination in Game 4 Against Yankees

The Kansas City Royals returned to Kauffman Stadium for Game 3 of the AL Division Series, their first postseason home game since 2015. Despite a passionate crowd, the Royals fell to the New York Yankees 3-2, putting their season on the line.

Giancarlo Stanton’s go-ahead solo home run in the eighth inning propelled the Yankees to the lead. The Royals’ bullpen struggled to contain the Yankees’ offense, allowing multiple baserunners and surrendering key hits.

Bobby Witt Jr. and Vinnie Pasquantino struggled at the plate, combining for 1-for-24 in the series. The Royals’ offense will need to improve in Game 4 to extend their season.

The Royals’ pitching staff has performed well, with relievers like Angel Zerpa, John Schreiber, Sam Long, and Brady Singer contributing scoreless innings. However, they will need to continue their strong pitching to give the Royals a chance to win Game 4.

The Kansas City Royals face a must-win situation in Game 4 of the American League Division Series against the New York Yankees. A victory for the Royals would force a decisive Game 5 on Saturday at Yankee Stadium.

The Yankees currently lead the series 2-1, having won Game 3 on Wednesday night. Michael Wacha (6.75 ERA) will start for the Royals, opposing Gerrit Cole (5.40 ERA) of the Yankees.

Pregame coverage for Game 4 begins at 6:30 PM on SuperStar Country 102.5 & 1530 AM, with the first pitch scheduled for 7:08 PM at Kauffman Stadium.
