A Kansas pilot, Randall Dean McFarland, escaped uninjured after his single-engine Zodiac 601 plane landed in Butler County on Wednesday.
The 68-year-old Augusta resident was flying a 2016 Fixed wing-single engine Zodiac when it landed on a private airstrip near SW Santa Fe Lake Road. The aircraft veered off the runway and struck a fence.
