Marysville Woman Involved In Two-Vehicle Crash In Gage County

The Gage County Sheriff’s office is currently conducting an investigation into a two-vehicle accident that occurred during the Memorial Day weekend, resulting in injuries to one individual. According to the findings of the investigation, a 67-year-old man was driving his car in a southbound direction on Highway 77 when he crossed the median at the intersection of Highway 77 and Highway 8. At this point, he collided with a truck that was being driven by a 44-year-old woman from Marysville, Kansas. The truck had come to a stop at a stop sign.

Upon receiving the report of the accident, Wymore Fire and Rescue as well as Beatrice Fire and Rescue promptly arrived at the scene to provide assistance to the victims involved. The 67-year-old man, who sustained non-life-threatening injuries, was then transported to the Beatrice Community Hospital by Beatrice Fire and Rescue. Fortunately, the other driver and her passengers did not sustain any injuries as a result of the collision.

Based on the available information, the sheriff’s office has reason to believe that alcohol played a role in causing the crash. As a result, the investigation is still ongoing, with further inquiries and analysis being conducted to determine the exact circumstances and factors that contributed to the accident.
