Railroad Crossing To Close For Repairs at Cawker City

K-128 and K-228 resurfacing to begin April 14

Starting April 14, the Kansas Department of Transportation will resurface K-128 and K-228 in Jewell and Mitchell counties. The $2.23 million project, managed by Dustrol Inc., involves a surface recycle and chip seal over 19.4 miles, with completion anticipated in June. Drivers should expect delays and follow posted signs.

Resurfacing to begin Monday on U.S. 36 and K-128 in Jewell County

From April 1, the Kansas Department of Transportation will start a mill and overlay on 22.3 miles of U.S. 36 and K-128 in Jewell County. Lane closures and delays of up to 15 minutes are expected. The $4.9 million project by APAC-Kansas Inc. is expected to finish in mid-July, weather permitting. Motorists should obey warning signs.
