MLB to Produce and Distribute Local TV Broadcasts for Royals in 2026

KQNK AM 1530 & 102.5 FM To Broadcast Royals Games In Northwest Kansas

The Kansas City Royals announced today their games will be produced and distributed by Major League Baseball on Royals.TV for the 2026 season. Royals games will be available on cable and satellite television, as well as the MLB app.

“This is a big win for our fans,” Royals President, Business Operations Cullen Maxey said. “MLB pioneered and remains the leader in delivering high quality sports content to streamers, and we’re thrilled to partner with them to bring our exciting team to a broader audience. Reach is paramount to what we do, and our games will continue to be in all the places fans are used to watching, plus hopefully some more.”

Major League Baseball pioneered direct-to-consumer sports programming, and remains on the front edge of production quality and innovation. MLB’s track record shows that fans of teams joining their production have had at least the same accessibility to games through cable, satellite and streaming —and often more.

Fans who live inside the Royals home television territory can purchase a Royals.TV in-market streaming package through MLB.com or the MLB App for the discounted rate of $99.99 per year. Subscriptions for the 2026 season will be available later this month. To sign up for more information, go to royals.com/watch.

Out-of-market fans can watch Royals games with an MLB.TV subscription for $149.99 per year.

Royals Season Ticket Members will continue to receive MLB.TV for free, and get 50% off an annual subscription to Royals.TV.

Royals games will be called by the same broadcasters fans have connected with over the years, including Ryan Lefebvre and Jake Eisenberg on play-by-play, Rex Hudler and Jeremy Guthrie as analysts and Joel Goldberg and Jeff Montgomery on pre and postgame coverage.
