Street Closure Notice-Walnut Street, Beloit

The Beloit Police Department would like to inform the public that beginning February 25, 2026, Walnut Street will be closed to all traffic north of 20th Street to Hwy 24. This closure is necessary to complete the second half of the ongoing roadway construction project.

At this time, there is no projected end date. The street will remain closed until construction is fully complete and deemed safe for travel.

There will be no access to Walnut Street north of 20th Street to Hwy 24 during this phase of the project.

Individuals traveling to Club 86 must access the establishment from the west, utilizing the roadway near the former China House restaurant location. Motorists are encouraged to plan their routes accordingly.

Due to the closure, drivers may need to use alternate routes and access roads through nearby residential neighborhoods. We ask all motorists to exercise additional caution while traveling through these areas. Please be mindful of increased local traffic, pedestrians, and children.

Officers from the Beloit Police Department will be monitoring the affected areas to help ensure traffic safety and compliance.

We appreciate the community’s patience and cooperation as this important infrastructure project is completed. Updates will be provided as additional information becomes available.
