Tickets on sale for “Through the Rearview at the Replay Lounge”

Tickets are on sale for “Through the Rearview at the Replay Lounge,” the Marshall County Arts Cooperative’s 17th annual two-act musical revue fundraiser.

Performances are set for 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 30, and Saturday, Jan. 31, at Venue 36, 1195 Pony Express Highway in Marysville.

Tickets are $40 for reserved seating, $25 for general admission and $10 for students. Children ages 3 and under are free and do not need a ticket.

Tickets are available online at marshallcountyarts.org or in person at 617 Broadway in Marysville from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday.

This year’s theme, “Through the Rearview,” reflects how certain songs can pull people back to a time and place. The show moves through songs that fit different stages of life, from lighthearted favorites to more reflective moments.

Songs featured include “Wouldn’t It Be Nice,” “I’m Still Standing,” “Everybody Wants to Rule the World,” “Boulevard of Broken Dreams,” “We Are Young” and “I’ll Stand by You.”

The show features a musical ensemble of Brian Cook, Mandy Cook, Micah Kee, Bryan Kracht, Joy Kramer, Kayn Milholland, Julie Popejoy and Abi Sawin under the musical direction of Cindy Voet with a live band.

“Everybody has songs that take them right back,” organizer Mandy Cook said. “That’s what this show plays with, the different stages of life and the music that goes with them. It’s a fun night and it’s hard not to leave with a favorite stuck in your head.”

Chris Felder, the arts cooperative’s vice president, said the fundraiser supports the organization’s year-round work while putting local talent front and center.

“This is our biggest fundraiser of the year, and it’s also one of the best examples of what we do,” he said. “It supports our programming, and it showcases the talent that’s already here in Marshall County.”
