WICHITA, Kan. – The Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office is providing the following update regarding Thursday’s coordinated law enforcement activity in the Wichita and Maize area.

As of this afternoon, Nov. 13, 2025, 36-year-old Justin Alan Lane and 47-year-old Elliott Maurice Kyles, both of Wichita, have been booked into the Sedgwick County Adult Detention Facility. Lane is booked on a charge of distribution of marijuana, and Kyles is booked on charges of possession of narcotics and possession of marijuana.

This investigation remains ongoing. Detectives from the Sheriff’s Office, along with Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) agents, continue to process multiple properties connected to the case. As a result of these search warrants, investigators have located suspected illegal THC products, suspected marijuana, suspected fentanyl, suspected cocaine, and more than 30 firearms.

Once the investigative process is complete and all evidence has been thoroughly reviewed, Sheriff’s Office detectives and ATF partners will present the case to the United States Attorney’s Office for formal federal charging consideration.

Earlier today, Sheriff’s Office detectives and agents with the ATF executed multiple search warrants at two residences and six High Hopes ICT retail locations. These operations were conducted as part of an active investigation into suspected state and federal narcotics and weapons violations.

Both residential search warrants were served jointly by Sheriff’s detectives and ATF agents, with assistance from the Wichita Police Department. The Wichita Police Department/Sheriff’s Office SWAT team supported one of the residential entries. Search warrants at the High Hopes ICT locations were executed by Sheriff’s Office detectives and ATF agents.

No further details are being released at this time due to the ongoing nature of the investigation.
