WaKeeney Man Injured in Trego County Rollover Accident

TREGO COUNTY – A WaKeeney man was injured in a single-vehicle accident that occurred just before 9:00 p.m. Sunday in Trego County.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol (KHP), Julio C. Villarreal-Gomez, 36, of WaKeeney, was driving a 2004 Chevy Suburban westbound on AA Road, approximately seven miles north and two miles east of Ransom. The KHP reported that Villarreal-Gomez lost control of the SUV, causing it to roll into the south ditch.

Emergency Medical Services (EMS) transported Villarreal-Gomez to Grisell Memorial Hospital for treatment of his injuries. The KHP noted that he was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.
