“More than 90% of families in Kansas choose to breastfeed,” said Stephanne Rupnicki, Chair of the Kansas Breastfeeding Coalition Board. “Breastfeeding matters—for the health of our babies, our parents, and our communities. We’re honored to work alongside local coalitions to build strong support systems so families feel seen, heard, and lifted up in their feeding journeys.”

With this award, Kansas is one step closer to realizing the long-term benefits of breastfeeding. Through meaningful collaborations with healthcare systems, providers, and public health professionals, and transformative community initiatives, these hardworking local breastfeeding coalitions lead the way to a healthier future.
