OCCK, Inc. Now Accepting Applications for 2025 More Than You Think Scholarship

Salina, KS – OCCK, Inc. is now accepting applications for its 2025 More Than You Think Scholarship. Established in 2021 as part of OCCK’s 50th Anniversary celebration, this scholarship serves as a lasting reminder of the organization’s commitment to supporting people with disabilities across North Central Kansas.

The More Than You Think Scholarship is designed to recognize and support students with disabilities who are looking to continue their education beyond high school. Eligible applicants must reside in one of the following Kansas counties: Saline, Ottawa, Cloud, Republic, Jewell, Mitchell, Lincoln, Ellsworth, or Dickinson. Applicants must also be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident and meet the definition of disability under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

Scholarship recipients may use the funds toward any credentialed post-secondary program, including college, university, community college, vocational training, or cosmetology school. Multiple winners may be selected, and awards of up to $1,250 each will be made directly to the educational institution.

Schilling Road, Salina, KS 67401, or emailed to jcramer@occk.com with the subject line “Scholarship Committee.” Materials must be postmarked or received by June 13, 2025. Late or incomplete applications will not be considered. Awarded applicants will be required to submit a photo. OCCK employees are not eligible to apply.

OCCK, Inc. provides a wide range of services to people with disabilities throughout North Central Kansas, beginning at birth and continuing throughout a person’s life. Services include employment and career training, independent living supports, assistive technology, transportation, home health care, Alzheimer’s and autism supports, and more.
