Beloit, Axtell, and Washington County Shine at 2025 Lions Club Invite in Belleville

Bellevile, Kan. — The 2025 Lions Club Invite delivered a full day of fierce competition and standout performances across all four divisions, with Beloit, Axtell, and Washington County emerging as the top programs in their respective categories.

In the Boys Upper Division, Beloit claimed the team title with a dominant 119-point showing, outpacing Nemaha Central (94) and Republic County (85). Beloit’s consistency across all 19 events solidified its position at the top, with strong finishes in both track and field disciplines.

The Boys Lower Division belonged entirely to Axtell, which turned in a commanding performance with 176 points—more than double the total of runner-up Clifton-Clyde (82). Washington County finished third with 72 points, while Lincoln and Randolph Blue Valley rounded out the top five.

Beloit continued its dominance in the Girls Upper Division, sweeping both genders’ titles with an even more impressive 176-point total. Marysville finished second with 117 points, followed by Nemaha Central at 98. Beloit’s girls capitalized on depth and strong relay performances to pull away from the pack.

In the Girls Lower Division, Washington County topped the leaderboard with 117 points, edging out Clifton-Clyde (99) and Axtell (72). Hanover and Randolph Blue Valley finished close behind, highlighting the competitiveness of the lower division girls’ field.

Across all divisions, athletes from more than 20 schools competed in 19 events per category, showcasing some of the best high school track and field talent in North Central Kansas. Full event results can be found at Athletic.net.
