BELOIT, KS – After 17 remarkable seasons at the helm, Ryan Eilert has announced his resignation as the head coach of the Beloit High School boys basketball team. Eilert leaves behind a legacy defined by consistent excellence and a profound impact on the program and its players.
During his tenure, Eilert amassed an impressive record of 292 wins against just 100 losses, establishing Beloit as a perennial powerhouse in Kansas high school basketball. His teams achieved an extraordinary level of success, qualifying for the state tournament six times. The Trojans reached the state championship game twice, finishing as runners-up, and secured a third-place finish on another occasion. Notably, they also made the final four during the pandemic-affected year, showcasing their resilience and talent under Eilert’s leadership.
Beyond the team’s collective achievements, Eilert fostered a culture of individual excellence. His players earned a total of 37 first-team all-conference honors, a testament to the high caliber of talent he developed. Furthermore, an impressive 15 of his players received honorable mention selections to NCAA teams, demonstrating the coach’s ability to prepare athletes for success at the collegiate level.
Eilert’s departure marks the end of an era for Beloit basketball, leaving a void that will be difficult to fill. His dedication to the program and his players has left an indelible mark on the community.
