Royals announce Champions Gala celebrating 1985 and 2015 teams

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Kansas City Royals announced a once-in-a-lifetime event that will allow fans to celebrate both of the club’s World Series championship teams.

The celebration of our Royals champions will take over Union Station on Thursday, May 15, honoring the legacy of these legendary teams.

“These teams represent the very best of our club’s and city’s history, so we are committed to celebrating them in a way that matches their impact,” said Royals Executive VP, Chief Commercial and Community Impact Officer, Sarah Tourville. “The players from both championship teams have been eagerly anticipating this event for months, and we know it will be an unforgettable night for them and for every fan in the room.”

Fans should expect special appearances from players on both teams, a seated dinner, commemorative programming and much more. This is an open bar event, and all guests must be 21 or older.

Proceeds from this premier off-site fundraiser will support The Kansas City Royals Foundation.
